Katie Decker is a holistic health counselor with a focus on holistic nutrition, food and lifestyle counseling. Her customized wellness programs and fun classes help busy people find balanced wellness through simple, healthy, home-prepared whole foods and positive lifestyle changes. Her calling to help others discover what true nourishment means for them became clear after her diagnosis with type 1 diabetes and celiac disease at the age of 25. Through the creative approach of holistic health practices, Katie found tremendous personal healing. She believes that what you eat can change your life. She also thinks that getting fed is about more than just what you put on your plate. With proper nourishment, on all levels, the body is capable of finding balance.
In her holistic health counseling practice Intu Wholeness, Katie works primarily with individual clients to empower them to make uniquely appropriate food and lifestyle choices for their bodies and lives. She shares her passion for natural foods selection and preparation along with coaching on food experiments, supported goal setting, and positive lifestyle changes. Her goal is to re-inspire her clients in the kitchen, help them build healthy, honest relationships with food and their bodies, and find nourishment, in all areas of their lives. Katie is also committed to providing holistic and nutritional support for a variety of gastrointestinal, autoimmune conditions, food sensitivities, and blood sugar imbalances. Katie studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and Columbia University Teacher's College. An avid yogi, Katie completed a philosophy and meditation course in 2009 with the Bhaktishop in Portland, Oregon. She loves deepening her yoga and mediation practice by making time to attend workshops and retreats on a regular basis.
